Claire Moran

Claire Lavers was born in New Jersey, USA. Her parents were born in South Africa and immigrated to the United States. Her parents instilled in her and her older sister a love for travel at a young age. She is an elementary school teacher in NYC. That's where she met Conor.

Conor Moran (pronounced more-in)

Conor Moran was born in Kerry, Ireland as the oldest of 3 boys. His parents still live in Kerry on the Wild Atlantic Way. Looking at the ocean all his life inspired him to explore the world. Conor ventured off to NYC after college to pursue his career in Construction Management. There he met Claire.

Becoming The Morans

The story of Conor and Claire begins in the summer of 2017 in New York City. In their quest for love, Conor and Claire stumbled upon each other on the dating app OK Cupid and the messages began to flow. She enjoyed his banter and he enjoyed her sass. A few weeks later Conor worked up the strength to trek across Central Park from his Upper East Side abode to meet Claire for a drink at the neighborhood spot E’s bar on the city's West Side. One turned into a few as they chatted the night away. Despite hitting it off on night one, their second date almost didn’t happen - but that’s a story for another time. Luckily for them, fate had other plans and they got to spend three wonderful years together. Exactly three years on from the night of their first date, Conor planned an anniversary weekend away at the Abbey Inn - a beautiful boutique hotel in Peekskill, New York. The two took in the amazing views before dinner and Conor popped the question while they were perched high above the Hudson River.

We said “I do” on July 2, 2022!
